Work Package 1
Project Management
This work package is to monitor the progress, quality and achievement of the project’s outputs and outcomes. SOSU is the partner organization that is implementing this package.
Work Package 2
State of the art on intercultural literacy and competencies framework
In this work package, the primary objective is to gather in-depth information on intercultural literacy, focusing on concepts like non-discrimination and diversity respect. Research will define essential terms and review scientific papers to understand racism in Europe and devise counter strategies. Emphasis will also be on aiding young minority victims of racism. The information gathered will aid in the creation of a training curriculum and shape the competencies framework for promoting anti-racist behavior. The research results and competencies framework will be publicly accessible on the STOP-RACISM website. The overarching goal is to inform, train, and equip individuals against racism and discrimination.
Work Package 3
Intercultural literacy planning & training curriculum
This WP’s focus is on creating an intercultural literacy curriculum for the youth, building upon the findings from WP2. This curriculum will subsequently shape the STOP-RACISM workshops and e-Learning platform in the upcoming WP. The curriculum will cover topics like understanding racism, unintentional discrimination, and promoting anti-racist actions among others. The educational approach will blend face-to-face learning, gamification, and online resources. Once developed, all materials will be available in partner languages for widespread application. The training’s structure ensures flexibility, inclusivity, and innovative blended methods. Post-development, a pilot will be run across partner countries, enrolling at least 30 young people per country, with tutors assisting throughout.

Serious games, designed for learning, tap into the motivational qualities of digital gaming. Their interactivity and immersive qualities provide vital life lessons, aiming to instill anti-racist attitudes and promote equality. The project stresses active prevention of racism, recognizing unintentional discrimination, raising awareness of racism’s dangers, advocating against discrimination, and supporting racism’s victims.

Toolkit for young educators and policy recommendations
The Toolkit aims to equip young educators and key stakeholders with tools and guidance to foster critical thinking and awareness about racism. Key features include:
- A guide on using gamification for teaching anti-racist principles.
- Motivational techniques and essential knowledge for learners.
- Ready-to-use forms and templates for wider applicability.
- Policy recommendations supporting the project’s goals and ensuring the transferability of its resources.
- Classroom-friendly resources to nurture critical thinking and effective anti-racism instruction.
A policy brief template will be created as part of Work Package 5, assisting in drafting briefs for varied audiences, from local to European stakeholders. The toolkit promotes the STOP-RACISM project’s practical application and offers additional tools for fostering European unity. All findings will be accessible online, with awareness campaigns emphasizing their widespread applicability. Furthermore, multiplier events will disseminate project results, seeking feedback from participants to refine its offerings.
